Corey Taylor has a busy year ahead of him. In addition to his upcoming solo tour, and 2012 dates with Slipknot in Australia and the U.S., the singer-guitarist said he's planning to get back in the studio with his other band, Stone Sour.

"Right now we're just working on demos...and a pretty grandiose idea that I've been kind of chewing on for a long time," Taylor told Billboard.com. "On a musical scale, artistically, visually, we're going to swing for the fences with this one. If we can pull it off, it would be really cool and... put a lot of people in their place. I'm really excited to get working on it."

Taylor said that Stone Sour will begin working on the follow-up to 2010's Audio Secrecy in between Slipknot's Australian tour in February and March and a summer trek in North America. But, first up is his solo tour, to promote his new book Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good. He'll do 19 dates, starting November 14, which will incorporate Q&A sessions with audience members and musical performances. "It's everything I love to do in a show – basically run my mouth and play guitar and sing," Taylor said. "It's almost like if Johnny Cash and Henry Rollins were the same person, this is the kind of show they would do."

On the heels of slammin' Rock In Rio – not once, but twice – with both Stone Sour and Slipknot, singer Corey Taylor has announced a North American solo tour for this fall.
"An Evening with Corey Taylor" concerts will feature Corey performing an acoustic set along with a spoken word segment, and he'll also answer questions with a fan Q&A.
Taylor's memoir, "Seven Deadly Sins - Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good," has been out for a few months and he has just released the audio version of it.
